Considerations for Starting an Internship
ANNOUNCEMENT
AS PER THE DECISION TAKEN BY OUR UNIVERSITY STARTING FROM APRIL OF THE 2016-2017 ACADEMIC YEAR, INTERNSHIP FILES WILL NOT BE SOLD.
OUR STUDENTS WHO WILL UNDERTAKE AN INTERNSHIP CAN DOWNLOAD THEIR INTERNSHIP FILES FROM OUR VOCATIONAL SCHOOL'S WEBSITE, PRINT THEM OUT, AND FILL IN THE NECESSARY SECTIONS.
STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE THEIR INTERNSHIPS DURING THE PERIODS SPECIFIED IN THE INTERNSHIP BOARD DECISION BELOW. INTERNSHIPS THAT START BEFORE OR END AFTER THE SPECIFIED DATES WILL BE CONSIDERED INVALID AND WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AS THEY WILL BE UNINSURED.
NOTE: Students who will do an internship cannot attend the Summer School at the same time. Students must choose between an Internship or Summer School.
Internships undertaken by the student in institutions other than Public Institutions will receive a partial refund from the unemployment insurance based on the minimum wage. Considering that the student's difficulty in finding an internship place will increase due to the obligation of the workplace to pay a fee to the student as per the relevant law, the following changes have been made to the 2017-2018 Academic Year curriculum:
1- The addition of a course named "Vocational Practice" to develop vocational skills and the assessment of the competency level in this course (A student who is successful in the Vocational Practice course will be considered to have completed their internship.)
2- If the student wishes, they can complete their 6-week internship in a public institution. (A student interning at a public institution must fill out the Internship Acceptance Form, have it signed by the relevant parties, and submit the approved documents to our internship office within the specified period. They do not need to prepare a Workplace Internship Contract.)
Students who will do an Internship in a Public Institution can download the Internship Application Form from the link below.
3- If the student wishes, they can complete their internship in the private sector. They must fill out the Workplace Contract and Internship Acceptance Form, available on the school's website, have them signed by the relevant parties, and submit the approved documents to our internship office within the specified period.
