MEDEK Accreditation Meeting Held in Computer Programming Program

The Computer Programming Program hosted an important meeting as part of its ongoing accreditation efforts aimed at certifying its educational quality to national standards and achieving its continuous improvement goals.

During the meeting held on June 24, 2026, the program's education-training curriculum, infrastructure, sectoral collaborations, and future vision were discussed in detail within the framework of Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK) standards.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department, Lecturer Dr. Mehtap YILMAZ, along with the faculty members of the Computer Programming Program. Focusing on the alignment process with MEDEK criteria and self-assessment reports, the meeting emphasized the importance of an educational model that keeps pace with rapid technological changes.

Within the scope of the meeting, MEDEK evaluation criteria—including program outcomes, the relevance of course plans, the adequacy of laboratory and software infrastructure, measurement and evaluation methods, and stakeholder feedback—were reviewed one by one. Additionally, the program's strong ties with the IT sector and students' internship/employment opportunities were evaluated.

Following the recommendations of the accreditation committee and the prepared roadmap, it was stated that quality-oriented efforts will be pursued with determination. The meeting concluded with a group photo after expressing gratitude to all academic staff who contributed to the process.
