Collaboration Meeting Held in Edremit for Intergenerational Interaction
A preparatory meeting was organized under the collaboration of the Edremit City Council and Edremit Vocational School as part of the “Intergenerational Interaction Program,” which is planned to take place in June.
During the meeting, led by the Vice President of the Edremit City Council, Fatma Dilara Kaya, the scope and implementation process of the program—aiming to strengthen communication between different generations—were discussed. The program aims to bring together the experience of the past and the energy of youth in the same environment.
The meeting was attended by the Director of Edremit Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Selami SELVİ, Assistant Director Lecturer Nuray UNAT, Specialist Psychologist and Sociologist Ferda Sayın, and representatives from relevant units. Participants exchanged views on the program's content, target audience, and feasibility, establishing a shared roadmap.
It was stated that this collaboration meeting is a significant step toward increasing social solidarity and strengthening intergenerational bonds, with the planned activities expected to contribute socially and culturally to the region.
