Balıkesir University MEYOK Joint Electrical Program Board Meeting Was Held
Within the scope of the Balıkesir University Coordination Department of Vocational Schools (MEYOK) Joint Program Board, an online meeting aimed at aligning the Electrical Programs was held on July 9, 2026. During the meeting, the curricula, program outcomes, ECTS values, and practical training processes of the Electrical Programs belonging to Balıkesir, Edremit, Bigadiç, and Sındırgı Vocational Schools were evaluated comparatively. The reviews determined that the programs are substantially compatible in terms of their core structures and vocational competencies; however, it was emphasized that continuing standardization efforts in course names, contents, and measurement-evaluation processes would contribute significantly to educational quality.
Furthermore, resolutions were passed to develop program outcomes in line with MEDEK (Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association) criteria, to utilize direct and indirect measurement methods collaboratively, and to effectively reflect stakeholder feedback into continuous improvement processes. At the conclusion of the meeting, an action plan was adopted for finalizing the joint program outcomes, reviewing curricula, and establishing a common measurement-evaluation approach. These efforts aim to further strengthen the institutional alignment and educational quality of the Electrical Programs.
