An Online Alumni Meeting was organized by the Computer Programming Program on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM, in order to strengthen communication with alumni and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program
The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Department, Lecturer Dr. Mehtap YILMAZ, and attended by department faculty members Lecturer Akif B. DUMANAY, Lecturer Serkan YEŞİLIRMAK, as well as alumni who graduated in different years and are currently working in various fields of the IT sector. During the meeting, the current status of the Computer Programming Program, course content, the emphasis on practical application, the internship process, and the professional experiences of the alumni were discussed.
The alumni shared their workplace experiences and provided feedback and suggestions regarding the program’s strengths and areas for improvement. Specifically, suggestions were made to increase the number of practical and project-based courses, strengthen content related to current software technologies, and link the internship process more effectively with the industry.
In the later part of the meeting, opportunities for alumni-department collaboration were evaluated; it was expressed that alumni could contribute to the program through career talks, mentoring activities, and internship support. Furthermore, it was noted that similar meetings are planned to be held with alumni at regular intervals.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the participants and the statement that alumni feedback would be evaluated by the relevant boards as part of the program's continuous improvement efforts.
