An Earthquake, Evacuation, and Firefighting Drill Was Held at Our Vocational School
An earthquake, evacuation, and firefighting drill was conducted at our vocational school, coordinated by the University's Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator's Office and the Civil Defense Specialist's Office.
During the drill, teams for firefighting, first aid, protection, and rescue, formed by the personnel of our vocational school, took part. Students were first informed about the necessary actions and precautions to take during an earthquake while in class, followed by a practical scenario.
Following the earthquake scenario, students were successfully evacuated under the supervision of vocational school officials, accompanied by alarms and sirens.
In the final part of the drill, a fire and extinguishing exercise was carried out. Our personnel and students gained hands-on experience in fire response methods. The drill, executed with a realistic scenario, was successfully completed with the aim of increasing awareness of disasters and emergency situations.
