Alumni Meeting in the Computer Programming Program: Teknosa UX Manager Erkin Erol Met with Students
Within the scope of the Online Alumni Meetings organized by the Department of Computer Technologies, Computer Programming Program, Erkin Erol, a 2007 graduate of our program, came together with our students and alumni in an online environment.
Erkin Erol, who currently serves as the User Experience (UX) Manager at Teknosa, shared his career journey, current developments in the technology sector, and his work in the field of user experience with the participants.
Delivering the opening speech of the event, the Head of the Computer Programming Program, Lecturer Dr. Mehtap YILMAZ, emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with alumni. She stated that drawing inspiration from graduates with industry experience would significantly contribute to students' career planning.
Throughout the talk, Erkin Erol provided valuable insights into the role of user experience in the success of digital products, the importance of the UX approach in software development processes, career opportunities in the e-commerce sector, and the impacts of artificial intelligence on the technology world. Furthermore, he highlighted the significance of project creation, language learning, and continuous self-updating in students' professional development.
Also answering the participants' questions, Erol noted that while preparing for professional life, new graduates need to develop communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving competencies just as much as technical knowledge.
As the Computer Programming Program, we will continue to organize events aimed at bringing the knowledge and experience of our alumni together with our students.
