A scientific presentation was held within the scope of Science Applications in High Schools

Prof. Dr. Selami SELVİ, Director of our Vocational School, delivered a presentation titled “From Nature to Color: The Madder Journey for Responsible Production” as part of the “Science Applications in High Schools” program. During the event, scientific information was shared with students regarding the historical development of natural dyeing, the cultural and economic significance of madder plants, and the conscious use of natural resources within the framework of sustainable production.

The presentation explored the journey of traditional madder applications from the Ottoman Empire to the present and showcased the potential use of natural dyes in textile, art, and industrial sectors through various examples. The program, which garnered great interest from the students, concluded with an interactive Q&A session.
