A Meaningful Visit from Edremit Vocational School Computer Programming Students

Within the scope of volunteer activities, students from the Computer Programming Program at Edremit Vocational School paid a meaningful visit to Hasan Basri Çantay Special Education Practice School on April 13, 2026.

In the first stage of the visit, Lecturer Dr. Mehtap YILMAZ, Head of the Computer Programming Department, and our students met with Fatma KILIÇ, Principal of Hasan Basri Çantay Special Education Practice School, to receive information regarding the school's development and its students. Our students participated in group activities with individuals with special needs, fostering social awareness while sharing enjoyable moments together.

Throughout the visit, our students organized various activities, played games, and engaged in heartfelt conversations with the pupils. This interaction created unforgettable memories for both our students and the individuals at the special education school. To commemorate this meaningful visit, our students planted an olive sapling in the school garden.

While contributing to the development of social sensitivity and empathy, this visit also provided our students with a significant experience for their professional lives.
