2025 ABİDR Peer Review Conducted Between Edremit Vocational School and Havran Vocational School
Within the scope of quality assurance studies, a Peer Review Meeting for the 2025 Academic Unit Self-Evaluation Reports (ABİDR) was held online on September 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM by Balıkesir University Edremit Vocational School and Havran Vocational School.
In addition to the members of the Academic Unit Quality Commissions of both vocational schools, the meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Gülşen AYDIN KESKİN, Director of Edremit Vocational School, along with Assistant Directors Lect. Nuray UNAT and Lect. Zeki Yahya PATAN; and Asst. Prof. Dr. İsmail ATABAY, Director of Havran Vocational School, along with Assistant Directors Asst. Prof. Dr. Bayram ALAMUR and Lect. Mustafa Melkin ÖDER.
During the meeting, the 2025 ABİDR reports of Edremit and Havran Vocational Schools were mutually reviewed. Based on the headings in the reports—namely Leadership, Governance and Quality; Education and Instruction; Research and Development; and Social Contribution among others—evaluations were conducted, and views were exchanged regarding ongoing practices, institutional processes, and areas open to improvement.
Within the framework of the peer review, it was emphasized that evaluating the practices of both vocational schools from the perspective of different units is essential for sharing best practice examples, making strengths visible, identifying areas for development, and strengthening the culture of continuous improvement. Furthermore, a consensus was reached on reflecting the evaluation findings in subsequent quality studies and maintaining knowledge and experience sharing between the units.
The meeting concluded productively in terms of developing quality-oriented collaboration and strengthening institutional quality assurance processes between Edremit Vocational School and Havran Vocational School.
