2025-2026 Academic Year Advisory Board Meetings for the Construction Technology Program Have Been Held
The Construction Technology Program has completed its meetings held with advisory board members for the 2025-2026 academic year. The meetings were attended by Board Chair Lecturer Emre Özerdoğan, Lecturer Dr. Halil Karaoğlan, Asst. Prof. Arzu Okucu (Faculty Member at Balıkesir University, Faculty of Architecture and Engineering, Department of Geotechnics), Uğur Sevinç (Zoning Director of Burhaniye Municipality), Mehmet Savaş Özevin (Highways Regional Chief), Şükrü Fatih Tok (Owner of TOK Construction), Servet Yıldırım (Owner of Yıldırım Construction), active students Ramazan Melih Kılıç and Baran Arkan, and graduate student Kürşat Semerci.
During the meetings, several key topics were addressed, particularly the updating of the curriculum, proposals for new courses, increasing practical training, improving internship and workplace education processes, as well as graduate competencies and employment opportunities. Furthermore, comprehensive evaluations were made regarding university-industry collaborations, entrepreneurship and innovation, the integration of technological developments into education, and improvement efforts for student satisfaction. As a result of the discussions, significant decisions were made in line with the goals of enhancing educational quality and continuous improvement, ensuring a productive advisory board process.
