Max Duration Exams (Additional Exam Right for Students Completing Maximum Education Period) ( 2022 Admitted Students )

IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 11 OF THE BALIKESİR UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATE AND UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION-TRAINING AND EXAMINATION REGULATION, END-OF-MAXIMUM DURATION EXAMS WILL BE HELD FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE EXCEEDED THEIR MAXIMUM DURATION OF STUDY FOR THE 2025–2026 ACADEMIC YEAR. Students enrolled in our Vocational School in 2022 (who have completed their maximum period of study) but could not graduate have been granted two exam rights pursuant to Article 11 of the Balıkesir University Associate and Undergraduate Education-Training and Examination Regulation.
Students enrolled in 2022 (or in previous years for students who had frozen their registration) are eligible to take exams for failed courses (FF), non-attended courses (DZ), and courses they have never taken.
At the end of these exams, students who fail to reduce their number of failed courses to five or fewer—including courses never taken and courses where attendance requirements were not met—shall be dismissed from the university.
Students who reduce their failed course count to 5 (five) (including courses never taken) following these exams will be granted 3 semesters; students who have up to five failed courses without taking the additional exams will be granted 4 semesters; and those who reduce their failed courses to 1 will be granted unlimited exam rights. Students who are granted unlimited exam rights must also pay the tuition fees during the registration periods of the relevant semesters.
In accordance with the regulation, students enrolled in 2023 and subsequent years are not eligible to take these exams.

NOTE: STUDENTS ENROLLED IN 2022 WHO HAVE FIVE (5) OR FEWER FAILED (FF) COURSES MAY TAKE THE EXAM UPON SUBMITTING A PETITION.

NOTE: STUDENTS ENROLLED IN 2022 WHO HAVE FAILED (FF) COURSES, NON-ATTENDED (DZ) COURSES, AND NEVER-TAKEN COURSES WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE END-OF-MAXIMUM DURATION EXAMS IF THEY APPLY WITH A PETITION ON SEPTEMBER 08, 2026, OR SEPTEMBER 14, 2026.

Sending a fax to 0266 373 57 70, or
Delivering them by hand to the Student Affairs Unit.

September 09–10, 2026: Exam Dates for the 1st Additional End-of-Maximum Duration Exam
September 14, 2026: Application Date for the 2nd Additional End-of-Maximum Duration Exam
September 16–17, 2026: Exam Dates for the 2nd Additional End-of-Maximum Duration Exam
